The Origins of Social Credit
Development of modern banking has resulted in nations losing the power to issue most of their own money. The financial system, worldwide, is based on debt.
Heather Marion Smith

Seniors Advocate

East Coast Electorate list Candidate

Heather Marion Smith is our Advocate for Seniors. She holds a degree and a post-graduate diploma in Economics with a special interest in public sector funding. She is currently Chair of the Party's Western Region and has recently held the Local Government portfolio, having written and spoken to submissions to local bodies and to Parliamentary Select Committees -  not only as a Social Crediter but formerly as Economics Convener for the NZ National Council of Women. Heather has held responsible posts in several government departments, later becoming a secondary school teacher before retiring.

"It was the environment policies which first persuaded me to become a social crediter. Then I realized that a flawed financial system can only operate by exploiting our natural resources.  I was convinced that we must not only protect the heritage that belongs to all of us but demolish the false economic theories preached by those out to profit from them," Heather affirms. "And I am proud to be one of many thousands around the world doing just that besides being part of a political movement steadfastly presenting practical and ethical solutions to New Zealand's social and economic problems."
