DSC members gather for conference
Delegates & observers from electorates around the country will gather in Christchurch this weekend for the Democrats for Social Credit annual conference.
“Conference 2009 will focus on fine-tuning the party’s message of financial reform” said Party Leader Stephnie de Ruyter.
“The DSC has a comprehensive plan to lift New Zealand out of the mire created by blinkered governments unable to think beyond the out-dated financial policies of last century. It’s a practical plan which addresses the fundamental flaws in the present system.
“Although the political arena is crowded with political parties jostling for public support, our core message of social credit monetary reform is unique and has a relevance which is unprecedented in recent years.
”Neither National nor Labour has a viable plan to create a sustainably prosperous modern society” she said.
“The government lacks the political will to take any meaningful action to address the effect of the global financial crisis on New Zealanders. It certainly gives DSC members cause for concern that government ministers and members of the opposition fail to understand the fundamental cause of the crisis.
Ms de Ruyter noted that DSC members were conscious of the urgency with which the Party must act to secure support for its social credit financial reform package.
“National and Labour represent a continuation of the failed monetary policies and mechanisms which feed New Zealand’s debt-based financial system. It is obvious that nothing will change until the financial system is changed.
“The DSC plan brings a dynamic, vibrant 21st century alternative to the debate” Ms de Ruyter concluded.
